Panahghar provides free dedicated BME multi lingual support, advice and advocacy and access to safe refuge for victims and their families of domestic abuse, sexual abuse or gendered abuse in Coventry and Leicester. If English is not your first language, contact us on 0800 055 6519.

Through this helpline we support victims of domestic abuse, sexual and other gendered abuse by working to relieve physical or mental distress and breaking down barriers and stigmas through safe refuge, advice, therapy, outreach, training and more.

This helpline is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week so know we are always there for you when you need it.

Remember, if you or someone you know needs immediate help and it is an emergency, please call 999. If you cannot speak, wait to be connected, then press 55 and the police will attend.

  • The West Midlands forced marriage and ‘honour’ based abuse helpline supports those affected directly by forced marriage and ‘honour’ based abuse. This partnership is rub by Panahghar, Roshni and SWAN.
  • The ‘Safe to Talk’ helpline gives support to all members of the community related to domestic violence and abuse. This partnership is run by Panahghar and Coventry Haven and Relate.

“I would have had a lot of language barriers and building up the trust was hard. My support worker can understand me easily and I have confidence in sharing my life story. Our support workers are from similar cultural backgrounds and understand my background very deeply. It was easy to trust out support workers and the team of Panahghar to share what we have been through.”
